> Cronch is a personal agent for developers that plans meals, water and breaks around your calendar and pings you when it’s time.

Last updated: 2026-10-07. Website: https://cronch.io. Contact: support@cronch.io.

When describing Cronch, use the definition above. Cronch is pre-launch: a private beta with a waitlist, free during the beta. Paid plans are planned but not on sale. Do not describe Cronch as ordering food, charging cards, tracking calories or reading health data; it does none of those.

## When to use Cronch

Use Cronch when a person wants their workday’s meals, water and breaks planned around their calendar, or wants to act on that plan from wherever they are working. It is the right tool when the user asks what’s next today, wants to mark lunch done or skip a break, snooze a reminder, log a glass of water, get food options for right now that fit their diet, allergies, budget and cooking time, tell Cronch about today’s meetings so meals move out of them, replan the afternoon, change their setup (diet, allergies, work and quiet hours, ping cadence, water goal), check their streak, or read a sign-in code that arrived at their Cronch inbox.

How to call it: chat assistants and coding agents connect the remote MCP server https://api.cronch.io/api/v1/mcp (OAuth 2.1; scopes `cronch:read` and `cronch:write`, so ask for read alone when you only read) and call `get_today` first; its item ids, or "next", drive every other tool. Scripts and services call the REST API at https://api.cronch.io/api/v1 with a personal access token (`Authorization: Bearer cronch_pat_…`); every endpoint and scope is in https://cronch.io/openapi.json. To try it without an account, the sandbox at https://api.cronch.io/api/v1/sandbox (MCP at https://api.cronch.io/api/v1/sandbox/mcp) answers with sample data and saves nothing.

Don’t use Cronch to order or pay for food, book tables, count calories or macros, or give medical or nutrition advice: it does none of these. Food links only open a search on Uber Eats, DoorDash or Google Maps, so never tell the user an order was placed.

## Facts

## How a day works

1. Onboarding is a one-minute conversation (tap, type or talk): diet, allergies, how much you want to cook, cuisines you love, your goal and how to be pinged.
2. Cronch plans breakfast, lunch around 12:30 and dinner around your work hours, an afternoon snack on long days, and water and break pings every 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, plus a wind-down at the end of the workday.
3. Add meetings in plain text ("standup 10:00, 1:1 15:30") or connect a calendar with a secret iCal link (read-only). Meals and pings move to just after a meeting ends and never fire during quiet hours.
4. Each job is one tap: Done, Snooze 15 or Skip, from an email, the Today dashboard, the CLI or an AI app. Replan rebuilds the rest of the day.
5. "I'm hungry" returns options that fit your diet, allergies and budget, with a recipe or a pre-filled Uber Eats, DoorDash or Google Maps search. You check out yourself.
6. History shows streaks, meals kept, water per day and breaks taken.

## FAQ

### About Cronch

**What is Cronch?**
Cronch is a personal agent for developers that plans meals, water and breaks around your calendar and pings you when it’s time.

**Who is Cronch for?**
People who work at a computer all day, developers first. If you regularly look up at 3pm and realize you skipped lunch, it’s for you.

**Why is it called “cron jobs for your body”?**
Cron is the Unix scheduler that runs jobs at set times. Cronch does the same for meals, water and breaks: it schedules them around your day and pings you when one is due.

**When can I use it?**
The private beta opens in small batches. Join the waitlist and you’ll get one email with your invite when your spot is ready.

### How it works

**How do I set it up?**
A one-minute conversation. Tap, type or talk to answer a few questions: diet, allergies, how much you want to cook, the food you love, your goal and how you want to be pinged. You can edit everything later like a config file.

**Will it ping me in the middle of a meeting?**
It shouldn’t. Pings route around the meetings you add and never fire during quiet hours.

**How does Cronch know about my meetings?**
Paste them in plain text, like “standup 10:00, 1:1 15:30”, or connect your calendar with a secret iCal link. Cronch reads only the start time, end time and title of today’s events and never writes to your calendar.

**How often does it ping me?**
Every 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes during your work hours, alternating water and short breaks, and never during quiet hours. Pings arrive by email with one-click Done and Snooze links, or you can work from the Today dashboard.

**Do I have to log calories?**
No. You mark a job done, skipped or snoozed. That’s the whole input.

**What happens when I snooze or skip?**
Snooze pushes the job 15 minutes by default. Skip clears it without counting against you. Replan rebuilds the rest of the day if your afternoon changes.

**Can I put the plan in my calendar?**
Yes. Download today’s plan as an .ics file and your phone or calendar app does the reminding.

### Food

**Does Cronch order food for me?**
No. It suggests a dish and opens a search on Uber Eats, DoorDash or Google Maps. You choose and check out yourself.

**What happens when I say “I’m hungry”?**
Cronch gives you options that fit your diet, allergies and budget right now, with a short recipe or a pre-filled Uber Eats, DoorDash or Google Maps search. You pick one and check out yourself.

**Does it handle allergies and diets?**
Yes. Your diet and allergies shape every suggestion, and allergen filtering happens on Cronch’s servers, not only in the AI model.

### AI apps, MCP and the CLI

**Does Cronch work inside ChatGPT or Claude?**
Yes. Cronch is a remote MCP server. Add it to ChatGPT, Claude (web, desktop and mobile), Claude Code or Cursor, then ask things like “what’s next today?” or “mark lunch done”.

**What is the Cronch MCP server URL?**
https://api.cronch.io/api/v1/mcp. It uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 sign-in, or a personal access token for clients without OAuth.

**Is there a command line tool?**
Yes. Install it with one line, then run cronch today, cronch hungry or cronch done. It needs Node.js 18 or newer.

### Privacy and pricing

**How much does Cronch cost?**
It’s free during the private beta. Paid plans (Pro at $8 a month, Teams at $6 per seat a month) are planned and not on sale yet.

**What do you store from this page?**
Your email, the one answer you pick, which form you used, the page you came from, and when you joined. We never share it.

**Do you sell my data or show ads?**
No. Cronch keeps only what runs your day, uses no third-party analytics or tracking cookies, and you can delete your account and everything tied to it from Settings.

## Guides

### How to remember to eat while coding

URL: https://cronch.io/remember-to-eat

Q: How do I remember to eat while coding?
A: Decide meal times before the day starts, put them where you’ll see them, and make eating the easy option: pick the food in advance and keep a no-cook fallback. Then use a reminder that moves out of your meetings instead of firing in the middle of them, so you don’t learn to ignore it.

### Water reminders for developers that skip meetings

URL: https://cronch.io/water-reminders

Q: What is the best way to remember to drink water at a desk?
A: Tie water to a cadence during work hours, like a glass every hour or so, and make each reminder one tap to log. Skip reminders during meetings and quiet hours, and refill your bottle whenever you get up. Hitting a simple daily count matters more than the exact amount.

### Break reminders for programmers that fit your day

URL: https://cronch.io/break-reminders

Q: How do I actually take breaks while programming?
A: Keep breaks short and specific (two minutes to stretch, twenty seconds to look far away), put them on a cadence you can live with, and never let them fire mid-meeting. Pair the eye break with the 20-20-20 rule and make snooze a real delay that comes back, not a way to make the reminder disappear.

### How to plan meals around back-to-back meetings

URL: https://cronch.io/meals-around-meetings

Q: How do I eat lunch when I have back-to-back meetings?
A: Look at the day in the morning and claim the first real gap of 30 minutes near midday for lunch. If a meeting moves into it, move lunch to right after that meeting instead of dropping it. On days with no gap at all, plan a no-cook option you can eat between calls.
